New Clients

New clients are always welcome at Campus Commons Pet Hospital. To allow proper time for all of our patients and scheduled surgeries, we do require appointments to be made in advance. To make an appointment, please call (916) 485-5274.

Clinic hours are Monday–Friday: 7:00am–5:30pm, Saturday: 7:00am–2:00pm. Sundays we are closed. Dr. Richardson is available every other Wednesday and Thursday, by appointment only. Dr. Patton is available for medical and wellness exams Monday–Saturday, and for surgeries Monday–Friday with evaluation appointments on Saturdays.

There are the occasional emergency cases that arise that require our top priority, which is why sometimes appointment delays can happen. Please bear with us and realize that our doctors do try to see each client on time. Our front office staff is amazing and will help you throughout your entire visit.

To save time during your appointment, please fill out our New Client Pet Form and email it to us prior to your first appointment at Campus Commons. You can download the PDF, complete the form on your computer, save it, and then email it to us at:

Otherwise, please plan on arriving 15 minutes early to fill out the form here at our clinic. Also, please bring in any previous medical records if you have them, a list of current medications, plus a fresh stool sample if you’re bringing in a new puppy.

Bringing Pets In

For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. All cats must be in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.

Parking & Side Yard

We have ample parking in the lot directly in front of the clinic, plus a large grassy side yard if you need to walk your pet.

Payment Methods

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and cash.

Overnight Medical Boarding

We do offer overnight medical boarding for pets who need to stay overnight after surgery or who need additional monitoring. We also have an overnight care technician, so your pet is never left alone! If your dog is staying with us and is physically able to, he or she will be walked at least three times a day.

Referral Surgery Patients

If you were referred to us for orthopedic or spinal surgery services by your doctor, our goal is to act as an extension of your referring veterinary office, recognizing and preserving your relationship with your primary doctor. Therefore, we generally will not perform procedures on your pet for any conditions for which you were not referred. Exceptions would be made only as authorized by your regular veterinarian.
